DR CURT MAXWELL, M.D., N.D., D.C.

Curt Maxwell was born and raised in Auckland. New Zealand. In 1973 he began his professional education by graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport. Iowa. Shortly after moving to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he began studying Naturopathy and was associated with the well known Cote Naturopathic Clinic. In 1975 he obtained a Naturopathic Diploma from the Anglo American Institute of Drugless therapy. In 1980 he relocated to Washington State and was associated with Solon Boynton Jr. M.D. Dr. Boynton introduced Dr. Maxwell to Chelation therapy, Darkfield Microscopy, Heidelberg Gastric analysis and General Medical practice as well as Orthomolecular Medicine. At the same time Fred Shull. M.D. shared his knowledge with Dr. Maxwell in Ob/gyn as well as his special interest in Neural Therapy and Thyroid replacement therapy as per Broda Barnes. M.D. In 1984 while seeking licensing in British Columbia, Dr. Maxwell took courses at the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto

In 1986 he qualified as a Registered Nutritional Consultant through the Canadian Council of Professional Certification.

In 1992 Dr. Maxwell begun studying Acupuncture with Dr. John Amarro in Scottsdale Arizona and in 1993 became a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.

Also in 1993 he became a Board Certified Naturopathic Physician and a member of the American Naturopathic Medical Association.

In summer of 2003, Dr. Maxwell studied at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando and in November received his Medical diploma from the Open International University.

    • Dr. Maxwell has also taken seminars with Frank Shallenberger. M.D. in the use of Ultra Violet Blood Irradiation and Ozone in Medical Practice including the use of Ozone injected into joints to facilitate rebuilding as an adjunct to regular Prolotherapy which Dr. Shallenberger call Prolozone

    Dr. Maxwell most recently spent a week studying Darkfield Microscopy and Live blood Analysis with Dr. Mario Russo of Santa Clara, California who was a student of Micheal Coyle.

    Dr. Maxwell has practiced in Mexico since 1993 - three years in Cabo San Lucas, and then at the request of numerous patients, Dr. Maxwell moved closer to the U.S. with his wife Esperanza and their two children.

    They own the Maxwell Institute for Natural and Integrative Health Medicine in Los Algodones, Baja California, about 10 miles from Yuma, Arizona. The focus is on pain elimination. Dr. Maxwell uses Neural, Intraneural and/or Prolotherapy, combined with manipulation, and has successfully treated several thousand patients from all over the United States and Canada. He also practices Integrative and Innovative Medicine using the best from science and nature, including Bio Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy and utilizing many of the treatments promoted by the Arthritis Trust.
